108 Mala Beads made from Tibetan Yak bone are significant in Tibetan culture because the Yak is considered a sacred animal in the region. Yak bone is believed to possess powerful energy and is often used in traditional Tibetan jewelry and ritual objects.
Traditionally, Tibetans make beads from yak bone by first cleaning and drying the bone. They then use a drill or a small hand-held lathe to create a hole through the center of the bone. Once the hole is drilled, the bone is then sanded and polished to create a smooth surface.
